We are a County Day School for children with complex needs. We cater for pupils who have severe and profound learning needs at the age of 3 to 19 years; the school has Early Years and Post 16 provision. The school is judged to be an outstanding provider since 2007 and Specialist School for Communication and Interaction since September 2009.
Effective communication to enable very good learning is a key priority of the school. We use the Total Communication approach to achieve this.
We are a very inclusive school. We work closely with parents and families, local schools and other professionals to ensure all pupils can learn in different and exciting ways alongside other children and within our community. Last year we opened a school shop in Attleborough, to further develop and improve our pupils’s life and learning skills and act as an extension of the classroom.
During the summer of 2013, funding was secured to build a new School. Our new site is located adjacent to the Primary and Secondary Schools in Old Buckenham and we now have completed the planning and design of the new building. If all goes to plan we are hoping to move into our new school building by April 2016. We are currently fundraising to buy additional, specialist playground resources for the new school.Back to Supported Charities
